Amanda Holden and her close friend Alan Carr were in high spirits as they exited The Ivy restaurant in London on Tuesday evening. The 55-year-old television presenter looked stunning for the outing, wearing a black leather knee-length dress with a scooped neckline that accentuated her impressive physique. She added height to her frame with a pair of heels and let her blonde hair fall loosely over her shoulders, completing her ensemble with a black clutch bag.
Alan Carr's Outfit
Alan, aged 49, donned an eye-catching red blazer and matching trousers, paired with a black and red polka dot shirt and brown shoes. The duo were seen laughing and wrapping their arms around each other after leaving the upscale venue.
Alan's Castle Project
Earlier in April, it was reported that Alan was just days away from receiving the keys to the £3.25 million Ayton Castle, a Traitors-style Scottish estate he plans to renovate for a television series. Alan purchased the castle earlier this year, and new images of the sprawling property have been unveiled. The vast estate boasts 17 bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a five-storey tower, a private chapel, and 106 acres of gardens. The comedian revealed that he has received the survey and is now awaiting the keys to begin renovations.
Alan's popularity surged last year after winning the first series of Celebrity Traitors. Inspired by Ardross Castle, where the show is filmed, he decided to purchase his own baronial-style home, which he intends to transform into a luxury hotel and spa. In February, Alan told The Sun that he had signed a seven-figure deal with Disney+ to film a series documenting the renovation of Ayton Castle. He stated, "Some men when they have a midlife crisis buy a Lamborghini or grow a ponytail, but me - I want my very own castle. Since I was a boy in Northampton, I've always dreamt big, and have always been enchanted with the history and romance of a stately home. As I turn 50, I feel it's time, all I want is a turret to call my own — get me over that drawbridge."
The renovation series, tentatively titled Castle Man, is expected to follow a similar format to his show with Amanda Holden. The show is reportedly being produced by Expectation, the same company behind Clarkson's Farm. The Daily Mail contacted Alan's representatives for comment.
Just last month, Alan revealed that he is now a baron after purchasing the £3.25 million castle. The television personality confirmed that he holds the rights to The Barony of Ayton title and is planning to have his own tartan. The barony dates back to 1324 and was available for purchase along with the estate. Alan, who was inspired to buy Ayton Castle after his stint on Celebrity Traitors, spoke to Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson on their Staying Relevant podcast about his new status, saying, "I'm in my turret era. I want a castle and I'm 50. I'm not going to be around forever. I think 50, I just want to do what I want to do. I've always wanted a castle. I'm a baron. I'm going to get my own tartan."
