Netflix has added the quirky crime procedural 'Good Cop/Bad Cop', starring former 'Gossip Girl' star Leighton Meester. The series, which aired on the CW last year, was cancelled after just one season, but fans are hopeful it may find a new audience on the streaming platform.
The show follows Lou Hickman (Meester), the only detective in the small town of Eden Vale, who convinces her father, Chief of Police 'Big Hank' Hickman (Clancy Brown), to hire additional help. Lou must navigate her friendly approach to crime-solving while dealing with the return of her estranged brother Henry (Luke Cook) and her feelings for detective Shane Carson (Devon Terrell).
All eight episodes are now available to stream in the UK. The series has been praised for its lighthearted tone, clever writing, and charming characters, drawing comparisons to shows like 'The Rookie', 'Death in Paradise', and 'Virgin River'. One IMDb user described it as 'a fizzy soda pop with a twist of lime'.
Despite its cancellation, the show has garnered a dedicated fanbase. Viewers have called it 'incredible' and 'refreshing', with one fan stating they have watched every episode multiple times. The series is available on Netflix as of 3rd March.
