Prince Andrew Finally Moves to Marsh Farm After Brother Edward's Intervention
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has at last taken up residence at Marsh Farm in Norfolk, following what sources describe as a direct intervention from his younger brother, Prince Edward, regarding his living arrangements. The move comes after weeks of reported delays and a confrontation between the two brothers just before the Easter holiday period.
The "Quiet Word" That Prompted the Move
According to royal insiders, Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, approached his brother for a "quiet word" about the need to vacate the temporary accommodation at Wood Farm. Andrew had been staying at Wood Farm since February, when he was relocated to Norfolk following the release of documents in the United States concerning his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to these matters.
The refurbishment work at the neighbouring Marsh Farm, which is situated within the Sandringham Estate, had been completed, but Andrew appeared to be "dragging his heels" about moving into his permanent new residence. This delay reportedly forced Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, to alter their Easter plans, as they had intended to use Wood Farm but found it occupied.
Disruption to Royal Easter Plans
The couple ultimately stayed at Garden House, a holiday let on the estate that can cost up to £4,110 per week during peak season. A source close to the situation explained: "Andrew was evicted from Royal Lodge at Windsor but now has two homes at his disposal. He is just going back and forth between Wood Farm and Marsh Farm. It’s got to be sorted as Edward and Sophie like to use Wood Farm."
Fresh reports now confirm that the disgraced royal has finally transferred to Marsh Farm, spending his first night there on Easter Monday. He was photographed walking between the two properties with his dogs, and staff were seen arriving at the farm with bags, indicating the move was underway.
Security Concerns at the New Residence
This relocation follows a significant security lapse at Marsh Farm just days prior. On Maundy Thursday, a group of demonstrators allegedly scaled the fence at the property before being challenged by security personnel. Photographs show several individuals having gained access near the farmhouse, where Andrew had been seen driving earlier, and they began "shouting abuse" before being intercepted by his security team.
The incident has raised questions about the safety measures in place at Andrew's new home, adding another layer of complexity to his already controversial situation.
