Two teachers who were former romantic partners were arrested after a violent altercation in a Miami classroom, with the woman using pepper spray after being knocked unconscious.
Classroom Confrontation
Odiria Shaya Biggins and Terrod Torrence, both 36, fought in a classroom at the Seed School of Miami on Friday. According to police, Torrence had left a note on Biggins' desk requesting a conversation. The pair share a child, as reported by WSVN citing the police report.
Alleged Assault and Pepper Spray
The discussion escalated, with Torrence allegedly striking Biggins repeatedly in the head and shoving her against a wall, causing her to fall unconscious. After regaining consciousness, Biggins went to her vehicle and returned with pepper spray, which she deployed on Torrence, according to the police report. Footage showed Biggins entering the classroom and Torrence stumbling out, "struggling to walk and visibly suffering from irritation to his eye" after being sprayed.
Arrests and Charges
Biggins was arrested on Monday and charged with discharging a weapon on school grounds and domestic violence battery. Torrence was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with domestic violence. It remains unclear how long they were in a relationship or what triggered the altercation.
