Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly torn over a major decision about their Christmas plans, following their return to the UK at the end of August. The couple moved back to Britain with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after spending six years living in California following their departure from royal roles in 2020.
Christmas destination divides the Sussexes
An inside source told Heatworld that the couple cannot decide whether to spend the holidays in the UK with the Windsors or the Spencers, or with Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, in California. The source said: "With the kids in school, they can’t keep bouncing between California and the UK whenever they feel like it, so they’ve got some difficult decisions coming up because they are not on the same page."
Reports suggest Meghan may be homesick, with the insider suggesting she would like to spend Christmas in the USA. The source reportedly said: "She misses her friends, she misses her day-to-day routine and she really misses her mom. She talks to Doria every day, usually multiple times but it’s not the same as spending every weekend with her."
Harry's concerns over leaving England
Meanwhile, Prince Harry reportedly fears that heading away from the UK for Christmas may send the wrong message, according to News 24. The source reportedly said: "Harry hates the idea of leaving England over Christmas, it’s one of his favourite times of year and he worries that if they travel back to the US, it will look like they’re giving up and choosing to miss out on time with his father."
The couple's return to the UK marks a significant shift from their previous base in California, and their upcoming decisions about the festive season remain unresolved.
