Katie Price Kids Warned Her Before Lifting Lid on Drug Use

Katie Price has revealed that her children Junior and Princess issued a warning before speaking on camera in her new documentary, where they opened up about how her drug use impacted their childhoods. In an interview on This Morning, Price said Junior insisted they would only appear if they could be brutally honest about what they endured.

Children's Warning Before Documentary

During her appearance on This Morning, Price said: "I told them to speak from their heart. Junior said after [the interview] he broke down, as did Princess." She admitted she was unaware of how difficult things were for them at the time due to her own mental health.

In the Sky series Nothing To Hide, Price shares the highs and lows of her chaotic personal life. In one poignant moment, her children Princess and Junior cry on camera as they describe feeling 'lonely and unloved' when Price 'could not look after them' because she was on drugs.

Junior and Princess Open Up About Drug Use

In the documentary, Junior recalled: "I remember missing her so much. This one time in particular, I was in her bed waiting for her to come back, and I woke up probably 3:30am to some loud noises, and I see her come in the room, and I'll never forget the look on her face, she was obviously on stuff, right? I could see it in her eyes, and I was.. it scared me, because I've never seen my mum look like that."

He added: "She wasn't in the right headspace, she really wasn't. And she wasn't being a mum, she wasn't being the mum that I knew from when I was a little boy. The amount of love she gave me was so immense that that's what I missed so much. Mum was on drugs, and she could not look after us, and that is the reality of it. She couldn't."

Junior eventually left home at age 14 or 15 to live with his father, saying: "Thank God that my dad was stable, because that's the house that I went to and gained my sanity back."

Princess also opened up about her experiences: "She'd give me a blanket, and she sprayed all her perfume on it, and that was like that was my, my attachment to Mum. So I remember after school I used to go home and just feel so like lonely in a way. I used to just cuddle to the blanket and just cry."

Price Reflects on Documentary and Relationships

Speaking to Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Price said: "It's so weird to watch your life back. It's like a movie but it's my life. I always regard myself as being completely honest anyway." She added: "This is a insight into someone who has been thrown into it and guided through it. You've seen my ups and downs, and there have been some ups and downs!"

In a huge moment in the documentary, Price talks about her fling with Gareth Gates, taking his virginity when she was pregnant with her son Harvey. She expressed surprise that Gates agreed to take part: "A lot of people said no, which is fine. Gareth said yes - I was like 'are you kidding me?' I've not seen or spoken to Gareth since back then. Imagine going back 26 years and we were really into each other, and then he ghosted me."

Price also referenced her new marriage to Lee Andrews, insisting he is not helping himself. She told him to come off socials and take a break but he defied her suggestion. "I know a lot that other people don't. It looks so messy out there. It's not really fair on me because it doesn't look good on me. It's become such a gimmicky joke now that no one believes it's a marriage now," she said.

"My family want nothing to do with him. I want my family to meet him but they won't for now, they're protecting me." She also explained to Lee how men have been the "downfall of her life" and that is why her family are so protective of her.

Price also sent a message to her mum Amy, who is currently in hospital, promising to visit her soon.
