From March 2026, HBO Max will be available in the UK and Ireland as part of an expanded partnership between Sky and Warner Bros. Discovery. Eligible Sky TV and NOW customers will receive bundled access to the streaming service, which includes all new HBO Original and HBO Max Original shows. Sky Atlantic will continue to air new seasons of returning HBO series such as House of the Dragon, The White Lotus and The Last of Us.

HBO Max offers a vast library of acclaimed dramas and comedies. Among the standout shows is The Last of Us, starring Pedro Pascal as Joel, a smuggler in a post-pandemic world who must protect a young girl, Ellie (Bella Ramsey), who may hold the key to a cure. Game of Thrones, based on George R.R. Martin's books, remains a fantasy epic chronicling the power struggles for the Iron Throne in the fictional land of Westeros.

Other highlights include Sex and the City, a classic sitcom following a sex writer and her three friends navigating life and love in Manhattan; Westworld, a Western-themed amusement park where lifelike robots begin to malfunction; and The Sopranos, a celebrated drama about New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano's struggle to balance crime and family life. Curb Your Enthusiasm, created by Larry David, offers comedic misadventures of a grumpy fictionalised version of himself in Los Angeles.

The dark comedy The Regime, starring Kate Winslet as Chancellor Elena Vernham, explores the unraveling of an authoritarian regime. Succession follows the Roy family's power struggles within their media conglomerate, Waystar Royco, as patriarch Logan Roy faces declining health.

Pricing details for HBO Max standalone subscriptions have not yet been announced, but Sky and NOW customers will receive access as part of their existing packages. The service launches in March 2026, promising a wealth of content for UK and Irish viewers.
