I'm A Celeb Kitchen Nightmare: AngryGinge's Chicken Blunder Sparks Fury
I'm A Celeb: AngryGinge's Vegetarian Meal Mishap

Thursday night's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! served up a classic jungle disaster, as social media star AngryGinge faced a culinary nightmare during his first stint on cooking duty.

A Recipe for Disaster

Following a camp chores shake-up, the Twitch and YouTube star, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, was tasked with preparing the camp's precious dinner alongside EastEnders actress Shona McGarty. However, hopes for a delicious meal were quickly dashed for vegetarian campmate Lisa Riley.

After some initial bravado about stepping up to the plate, AngryGinge committed a cardinal sin in the kitchen. He cross-contaminated Lisa's avocado meal by placing chicken directly on top of it. The blunder forced a sheepish confession to the entire camp.

The Awkward Confession and Campmate Fury

Confiding in his sous chef Shona first, a horrified Ginge whispered: 'I've f**ked that up haven't I?' He then addressed the gathered celebrities, stating: 'There's been a slight cock-up in the kitchen. I'd like to apologise in advance to the vegetarians.'

His jungle best friend, rapper Aitch, was quick to voice his disbelief. He quipped: 'Fancy putting chicken on a vegetarian's plate as a chef. You might as well have slapped her with a piece of steak.' Later, in the Bush Telegraph, Aitch declared: 'What a k**b. His first day in the kitchen, and if it was a real kitchen the restaurant would have been instantly shut down. Ladies and gentleman, AngryGinge.'

Viewers Declare It 'Comedy Gold'

While his campmates fumed, fans watching at home found the entire mishap utterly hilarious, with many taking to social media to label it 'comedy gold'.

One viewer posted on X: 'Ginge being the chef might actually be the best decision they’ve made in there.' Others agreed, with comments including: 'As a viewer, seeing Ginge mess up when it’s his first time being on cooking duty is absolute class' and 'Tonight has been a great episode! Have been cracking up! Ginge sabotaging the veggie dinners!'

Many also praised the dynamic between Lisa and Ginge, with one fan noting: 'Lisa and ginge are actually comedy tv gold, they have such a good relationship.'

Martin Kemp Says Farewell to the Jungle

The kitchen drama unfolded on the same night that Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp was evicted from the camp. The 64-year-old musician and actor found himself in the bottom two with Lisa Riley before being voted out by the public.

His exit came just hours after he finally left camp to take part in a Bushtucker Trial. It was later revealed by presenter Vogue Williams on a live stream that Kemp had been secretly exempt from some challenges.

After 20 days in the jungle, he told hosts Ant and Dec: 'I have dreamt about this moment. It's just a weird trip. I loved just sitting around and talking with the others.' He added: 'I said it a few times on there, I'm not one for making new friends and this is the first time I've done it in years and I absolutely loved it.'

Kemp also reflected on his son Roman's third-place finish in the 2019 series, stating he was 'glad' he didn't beat his son's placement. Roman Kemp, 32, reacted to his dad's earlier exit with a tongue-in-cheek post on X, simply captioning it: 'Oh noooo.'

Fans were delighted to see the duo of Ginge and Lisa remain in camp together following Kemp's departure, setting the stage for more potential mishaps and laughter in the days to come.
