Big Brother's Richard Storry: Feud with Caroline & Adoption Story
Big Brother's Richard Storry: Feud & Family Revealed

ITV2's Big Brother is hurtling towards its dramatic finale this month, with one contestant emerging as the clear public favourite: Richard Storry. The revamped series, which made its explosive return to screens in September, has been packed with memorable moments, but none more discussed than Richard's ongoing 'feud' with former housemate Caroline.

The Feud That Captivated The Nation

From the moment they met, Richard and Caroline's dynamic became a central talking point for viewers. Caroline, who was evicted from the house last week alongside Nancy following a public vote, was frequently at the centre of controversy for her comments towards Richard. Many viewers accused her of 'bullying' behaviour, a claim reported by OK! magazine.

However, Richard himself has described their clashes as 'pantomime-like', a sentiment echoed by ex-housemate Farida, who told Heatworld it was simply 'banter'. In her exit interview, Caroline remained unrepentant, labelling Richard as 'boring' and comparing him to Mr Bean, leaving presenters Will and AJ visibly baffled by her stance.

Richard Storry: The Composer And Author

So, who is the man at the centre of this reality TV storm? Richard Storry entered the Big Brother house slightly later than the initial contestants, arriving with Cameron B, Feyisola, and George. At 60 years old, he is one of the eldest competitors in this year's series.

On the show, Richard revealed his profession as a writer and composer with a specialism in classical music. His Instagram profile shows that his published works fall into the supernatural and fantasy genres. His debut novel was released in 2015, with his most recent book published in 2021. According to Amazon, his bestselling title is 'The Cryptic Lines', a story set within a sprawling gothic mansion.

A Touching Adoption Story

Perhaps the most heart-warming revelation from Richard's time in the house has been the story of his family. Richard disclosed that he is unmarried and has remained single his entire life, but he has an adopted son.

He shared the poignant tale of how, while in Malaysia, he met a young man who was a 33-year-old refugee from Myanmar. Richard explained, 'He told me quite early on that he had lost his father when he was a kid.' As their bond deepened over repeated visits, they made the decision to formalise their father-son relationship.

The story resonated deeply with the audience. One viewer expressed their emotion on X, writing, 'Richard's adoption story is already one of the most intriguing and beautiful stories I have ever heard on Big Brother. I am sobbing.' Another declared, 'Can't cope with Richard adopting a 33-year-old refugee. Stop the show and crown him already.'

Public Backing And Betting Odds

With Caroline now evicted, Richard remains firmly in the competition and enjoys massive public support. This backing is reflected in the betting odds. Last week, Coral's John Hill revealed, 'We have seen a strong wave of support for Richard in our Big Brother betting after he escaped Friday night's double eviction. There is no doubt punters are siding with Richard in his feud with Caroline.' His odds to win were tipped at 5-4.

On social media, the campaign for his victory is in full swing. One fan posted, 'RICHARD TO WIN!', while another stated confidently, 'Looks like Richard is the winner of Big Brother 2025.' As the finale approaches, all eyes are on this composer, author, and devoted father to see if he can secure the ultimate victory.

Big Brother continues to air Sunday to Friday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm.
