The conflict arose during a challenge called Rancid Run, where campmates were paired up to retrieve cogs from an abacus using only their tongues. The last team to collect all five cogs faced elimination from the show. Jimmy Bullard chose Adam Thomas as his partner, but when Adam began the task, Jimmy refused to participate, despite encouragement from hosts Ant and Dec.
Jimmy complained, "Boys, I don't think I've got it in me," leading to Adam's frustration. Adam urged Jimmy to get involved, but Jimmy responded with his iconic line, "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here." An incredulous Adam reacted, "You're joking me bro. Jim don't do this bro, come on!" before kicking the wall and storming out of his cage.

Despite the incident occurring eight months ago, sources suggest Jimmy and Adam are not on speaking terms. However, fellow campmate Craig Charles stated on Good Morning Britain that Jimmy had confirmed his attendance.
This clash follows Adam's previous conflict with David Haye on the show, where David criticised Adam for not participating in a Bushtucker Trial due to health issues. Adam later addressed the situation on Instagram, saying David had apologised and he had moved on.
