NBC's iconic sketch show, Saturday Night Live, has unveiled a star-studded roster for December, promising a month of must-see television for British viewers.
December's Star-Studded Schedule
The network announced on Monday that the month will feature three major shows. Melissa McCarthy will return to the studio on December 6 for her sixth time as host, with Grammy-nominated artist Dijon making his debut as the musical guest.
The following week, on December 13, The Crown star Josh O'Connor will make his hosting debut. British singer Lily Allen will join him as the musical guest, marking her second appearance on the programme, fresh from the release of her fifth album, West End Girl.
A Pop Culture Phenomenon Returns
The month culminates on December 20 with a highly anticipated double act. Global superstar Ariana Grande will host the show for her third time. She is currently promoting the new single Wicked: For Good.
She will be joined by the legendary Cher, who returns as the musical guest for the first time in nearly 40 years. The icon last graced the SNL stage in 1987, making this a truly historic comeback for the programme.
Fans in the UK can watch all the action unfold live. Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time in the US, which is 4:30 a.m. UK time, and streams live on Peacock.
