The season for securing the year's must-have beauty advent calendars has officially begun, with pre-orders and waitlists dropping across the board. While summer is still in full swing, brands from Yankee Candle to Lush have already launched their countdowns, and the London 'big four' department stores – Liberty, Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols – are releasing early details.
Liberty has become the first to reveal full contents of its 2026 calendar, priced at £285 with a total value exceeding £1,300. The offering includes 21 full-sized products from brands such as Sunday Riley and Violette FR, plus seven fragrances. The retailer promises 26 products not found in competitors' offerings, making it a highly sought-after calendar that sells out every year.
Harrods' 2026 beauty advent calendar is anticipated to be its most luxurious yet, featuring full-size Augustinus Bader rich eye cream and a travel-size of Shiseido’s Future Solution LX. The calendar straddles beauty discovery, premium and big-name brands, including Charlotte Tilbury, Huda Beauty, La Prairie and Tatcha. Harrods has also launched separate hair and body (£99) and fragrance (£225) calendars, with perfumes from Parfums de Marly and Jo Malone.
For those on a budget under £200, Boots offers three calendars in 2026: a premium offering, a 24-day skincare variety (£70, worth over £300), and a third option. Selfridges and Harvey Nichols have yet to reveal their contents, but details are expected soon. With key launches from Sephora, Space NK and Boots on the horizon, beauty enthusiasts should act quickly to secure their favourite calendars.
