Goldie Hawn has opened up about her extended break from acting, revealing that she simply hasn't come across a script that captures her interest since her last role in 2020. The 80-year-old Oscar-winning actress, whose career has spanned more than six decades, stated she remains open to returning to the big screen if the perfect opportunity arises.
Searching for the Right Script
In a recent interview, Hawn explained that she has been selective about her projects. 'I haven't found anything that really makes me want to go back to work,' she said. 'If a really cool, funny script comes along, I'd be happy to do it.' Her last on-screen appearance was in The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two, where she starred alongside her long-term partner, Kurt Russell.
Family Collaboration Hopes
Hawn's daughter, actress Kate Hudson, has also expressed a desire to work with her mother. However, Hudson emphasized the importance of finding the 'right project' for their first on-screen collaboration. 'We talk about it all the time,' Hudson said. 'It has to be something special, something that honors her legacy and our relationship.'
Meanwhile, Kurt Russell recently spoke about his decades-long relationship with Hawn, drawing parallels to the deep connection depicted in his new Western drama series, The Madison. The couple, who have been together since 1983, continue to support each other's careers while enjoying their time away from the spotlight.
