Apple TV+'s latest sensation, Widow's Bay, now has all episodes available for streaming. The tenth and final episode of the inaugural season dropped today (17 June), reports the Mirror.
The series has proved so popular that Google has incorporated a special Easter Egg for devotees. Searching for the programme's title displays above the results: "Did you mean: the next Martha's Vineyard and definitely not cursed" - a reference to the protagonist's fixation with rivalling the prestigious island off Cape Cod as a tourist destination.
But what transpired in the finale? What are the implications? And which mysteries persist? Here's everything you need to know.

What happened at the end of Widow's Bay?
We return to Mayor Tom (Matthew Rhys) following the revelation of Richard Warren's final living descendant. It transpires to be his secretary, Ruth.
He examines her medical records, searching for signs of a terminal condition that might resolve matters naturally. Regrettably, she's in reasonable health, though there's a caution about mixing her prescriptions.
Tom, Patricia, and Wyck hold differing views on whether eliminating Ruth would end the bloodline and, potentially, the island's curse. Tom laces Ruth's tea with drugs, though not lethally.
Rather, it appears to function as a truth serum. Ruth rambles through her past to Tom, admitting to a clandestine affair with a married man that resulted in a pregnancy she concealed. She surrendered the child to the man and his wife, condemning herself to observe its upbringing from afar.
That child turned out to be none other than Tom's wife, Lauren. Ruth discloses that this is precisely why she has remained in her position as the mayor's secretary throughout the years - to maintain some connection to her grandson, Tom's son.
To Tom's dismay, this revelation means his own child is the sole surviving descendant of Richard Warren.
Seemingly corroborating this is a 'family heirloom' in Ruth's possession - Sarah Warren's brooch. Furthermore, Ruth had visited Lauren during her committal, claiming to be her 'secret mother' - the true meaning behind those mysterious letters to Evan.
A gunshot rings out, and Ruth collapses. Sheriff Bechir has stormed in and taken drastic action, only to be informed he has targeted the wrong person, though Tom refuses to reveal the true identity of the last descendant.
Bechir's paranoia has been steadily mounting since he confirmed the island's curse is genuine. With his wife on the verge of giving birth, he is acutely aware that a child born on the island will be forever trapped there.
Upon learning the Mayor's whereabouts, he felt compelled to intervene. Meanwhile, back at the shelter, tensions begin to mount as Dale stumbles upon a series of videos exposing the true purpose of the facility.
A man addresses the camera, speaking directly to whoever is intended to be watching as 'offerings', adding, "Thank you for your sacrifice."
Further footage shows individuals bound and hooded while the man cautions against comforting them, as the Island 'likes the taste of fear'. He also references a covenant with the Island, warning that the 'bad times' will not cease until it is fulfilled. "One soul for each bell toll."
This revelation sheds light on the mystery from the second episode, in which Tom was roused from sleep by the sound of bells. Dale returns to the group and exacerbates matters by frantically warning everyone that the 'place is a death trap'.
Elsewhere in the shelter, Evan is persuaded by his companions to slip away and smoke a joint. They stumble upon a peculiar room containing a chair fitted with restraints, before the maintenance worker, Kenny, discovers them and orders them to leave.
However, PJ traps Kenny inside the enigmatic room and flees. Evan attempts to free him, but ominous sounds fill the air, followed by Kenny's terrified screams.
Once the ordeal concludes, the storm outside abruptly subsides and the door unlocks itself. Evan peers inside to discover Kenny's torch lying on the floor near a set of imposing doors, left slightly ajar.
The following morning, Tom discards Ruth's brooch into the now placid waters. Upon returning to his car, where his son waits, the bell strikes eight times. Kenny was merely the first sacrifice, with more yet to come, but viewers will have to bide their time to discover how events unfold in Season 2.
