The daughter of acclaimed Hollywood actor Tommy Lee Jones was discovered dead at a luxury San Francisco hotel in the early hours of New Year's Day, according to reports.
Discovery at the Fairmont Hotel
Victoria Jones, aged 34, was found lying on the ground on the 14th floor of the prestigious Fairmont San Francisco. A source told the Daily Mail that a guest initially thought she might be intoxicated and alerted hotel staff. Upon reaching her, staff members quickly realised Victoria was unresponsive and immediately began CPR while calling for an ambulance.
The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed they responded to a call for medical aid at 2:52 am. First responders attempted to revive the young woman at the scene, but she was tragically pronounced dead there.
No Immediate Signs of Foul Play
Authorities have indicated that the initial investigation has not revealed any obvious signs of foul play. The source stated there was no visible trauma to the body, and police did not find any drug paraphernalia in the vicinity. There were also reportedly no immediate indications that Victoria Jones had taken her own life.
It remains unclear whether Victoria was a registered guest at the hotel or how she came to be on the 14th-floor area. The San Francisco Police Department has now appealed to the public, asking anyone with information about her untimely death to come forward.
A Life in the Public Eye
Victoria Jones was born on September 3, 1991, to Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. The couple were married from 1981 to 1996. She followed her father into the film industry, making her movie debut with a small part in his blockbuster 'Men in Black II' in 2002.
Her acting credits also included a 2005 episode of 'One Tree Hill' and a role in her father's directed Western, 'The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada', that same year. Although her on-screen career paused after her teenage roles, she continued to appear on red carpets alongside her famous father at events such as the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2017.
In a past interview, Tommy Lee Jones praised his daughter's talents, noting she was a good actress with a SAG card and spoke impeccable Spanish. He once shared an anecdote about having to 'fire' her from a film set when she was 14 for refusing to get out of bed for a 5 am call time, only for the production crew to secretly fetch her.
Victoria Jones is survived by her father, her mother Kimberlea, and her brother, Austin. Representatives for Tommy Lee Jones, the Fairmont San Francisco, and the San Francisco Police Department have been contacted for comment.
