Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's New Year's Kiss Silences 2025 Divorce Rumours
Stefani and Shelton's New Year Kiss Defies Split Talk

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have powerfully quashed another wave of split speculation, sharing a steamy New Year's Eve kiss as they welcomed 2026. The couple, who have been the subject of persistent divorce rumours throughout 2025, documented their celebrations on Instagram, showing a united and affectionate front.

A Midnight Moment to Counter the Chatter

On Wednesday evening, the 56-year-old No Doubt singer and her 49-year-old country star husband attended a New Year's celebration with close friends. Stefani took to her Instagram Stories, first posting a cosy clip of the pair with the caption 'Last few hours of 2025.' As midnight struck, the mood was jubilant, with the singers cheering alongside their pals.

The most telling moment came in a second video. Stefani turned to glance up at Shelton, who then placed his hands around her face for a passionate, lingering kiss to mark the beginning of the new year. Shelton sported a black 'Happy New Years 2026' hat, while Stefani wore a silver New Year's headband.

Busy Lives and Baffling Rumours

The public display follows months of rumours about marital strife, partly fuelled by their absence from major award shows in 2025 and Shelton's release of a breakup track titled 'Hangin' On' in March. However, Shelton later clarified the song had 'no reflection' on his relationship with Stefani.

Sources told TMZ in December that the two stars were 'completely baffled' by the split speculation, insisting their relationship remains strong. A separate insider told People the pair are 'solid', explaining, 'There is no truth to the split rumours. They've just been juggling demanding schedules.'

Both artists have had packed professional years. Stefani released the deluxe version of her 'Bouquet' album, while Shelton dropped his 13th studio album, 'For Recreational Use Only'. An insider noted in December that, like many couples nearly five years into marriage, they have to be 'intentional about spending time together' amidst busy careers.

Family Life and Future Plans

Stefani, who shares three sons—Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 11—with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, has often spoken about splitting time between Los Angeles and Shelton's ranch in Oklahoma. She told the Today show in December, 'Blake and I, we just bounce back and forth between Oklahoma constantly... It's been a blessing.'

Looking ahead to 2026, both have major career commitments. It was announced in October that No Doubt will reunite for a residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas across several dates in May and June. Meanwhile, Shelton is set to perform eight nights at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace, beginning on 15 January.

In April 2025, Stefani offered insight into their low-key married life, describing cosy date nights on separate couches with their dogs. When asked for the best marriage advice she'd received since wedding Shelton in 2021, she pointed upwards, suggesting a spiritual element to their union, and emphasised making sure 'you have a third party.'
