Sinitta's Jungle Regret: Quitting Trial Led to I'm A Celebrity Exit Before Final
Sinitta's I'm A Celebrity Regret Over Trial Quit Before Final

Sinitta's Biggest I'm A Celebrity Regret as She Exits Show Days Before Final

Sinitta has become the latest campmate to be evicted from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, and in a candid reflection, she has opened up about her jungle adventure, expressing a significant regret that ultimately led to her departure just days before the final. The 62-year-old singer and television personality looked pleased to be out of camp despite some lingering disappointments over how her journey ended.

The Fateful Trial That Sealed Her Exit

During the "Dragged Through Hell" trial, the final six campmates were paired off and chained together while attempting to unlock safes to win food for camp. Sinitta, paired with actor Craig Charles, faced a snake-filled box and struggled to retrieve a code. Eventually, she gave up and quit, screaming the show's iconic phrase, "I'm a celebrity... get me out of here!" This decision proved costly, as the leading pair, Adam and Scarlett, then had to choose someone from the losing duo to go home, and with Sinitta's encouragement, they selected her.

Reflecting back at the hotel, Sinitta compared her jungle experience to therapy, stating, "I got what I came here for, which was courage. This sense of I can do whatever I believe. I feel rejuvenated. It has been magical and so much fun. I've laughed every day. I've faced my fears." She added, "I understand now, after being terrified of everything most of my life, the way to overcome your fears is to face them. I feel like this fearless, robust person now, rather than a fragile person. It's been like therapy. The second time in the jungle is a memory I will cherish forever. The first time, let's just pretend that didn't happen!"

Regret Over Quitting Under Pressure

Despite her upbeat outlook, Sinitta looked back on her final trial with disappointment and insisted that Craig Charles was partly to blame for her decision to quit. She explained, "Yes, I instantly regretted saying 'I quit' because somebody else was telling me to do it. Even if we came last, I wouldn't have quit. I'm not a quitter. I quit out of guilt and pressure, not because I'd run out of steam. It was taking me a long time, I admit."

She elaborated on the pressure she felt during the trial, saying, "But what I had in my ear was, 'Oh Sinitta, just throw it. I'm standing here like a lemon.' To me, he [Craig] gave up. I wish I'd fought for myself at the time." This regret highlights the intense dynamics and emotional challenges faced by contestants in the high-stakes environment of the jungle.

Positive Reflections and Camp Bonds

Sinitta remained positive overall, using social media this week to urge Jimmy Bullard to attend the live final and mend his friendship with Adam Thomas. She praised Jimmy for having "tremendous energy" when he joined the show, while noting that Harry Redknapp took the camp to "another level" upon his arrival.

She also spoke fondly of her bond with Beverley Callard, admitting, "Bev and I were really close. I really liked her. I didn't realise it was reciprocated until she saved me on elimination day. That really touched me." Comparing her experiences, she added, "There were lovely people there last time, but honestly, there wasn't the bond we've created here. I came to grow. I'm a grown woman, it's time to stop being a little girl inside. I feel more robust and resilient now. It's not an act, I am really this strong woman."

Inspiring Message to Viewers

When asked what she hoped the audience would take away about her, Sinitta delivered an inspiring message about aging and facing fears. She said, "I'm an older girl, I know I don't like to admit it. This is better than any anti-aging cream or pill, just face your fears, have some fun, don't let age hold you back." She continued, "Be inspired and do stuff, don't put things off because you're scared, push through it, there's nothing but dry on the other side."

I'm A Celebrity continues on Thursday night on ITV and ITVX at 9pm, with the final approaching and tensions high among the remaining campmates.
