Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes Celebrate Daughter's Birthday at Disneyland
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes at Disneyland for Daughter's Birthday

Ryan Gosling and his longtime partner Eva Mendes were spotted on a rare outing as they brought their daughter to Disneyland on Wednesday. The longtime couple, who first sparked a romance in 2011, looked relaxed and happy as they celebrated their youngest daughter Amada's ninth birthday at the amusement park in Anaheim, California.

A Doting Dad and a Happy Family

Gosling, 45, was a doting dad as he held his daughter's hand while strolling through Disneyland, while Mendes, 52, walked closely behind them. Their eldest daughter Esmeralda, 11, did not appear to be present during the family excursion.

Over the years, the pair have sparked rumors that they tied the knot, particularly when Mendes referred to him as her 'husband' in 2022. The couple first met and hit it off on the set of their 2012 thriller The Place Beyond the Pines. They started filming in August 2011, and the following month, the co-stars sparked romance rumors when they were spotted on a casual date at Disneyland.

At the time, an onlooker described Gosling and Mendes 'like a dating couple, they always walked very closely, holding hands and their arms touching side by side,' per People.

Gosling on Fatherhood and Family

Back in 2023, the actor said he did not have plans to start a family until he met and fell in love with Mendes. 'I wasn't thinking about kids before I met her, but after I met Eva, I realized that I just didn't want to have kids without her,' he told GQ at the time. He also opened up about parenting with Mendes and sweetly gushed about how before they met, 'I was looking for her, you know?' He added that 'it all makes sense now.'

Their recent outing comes after Gosling made rare remarks about his and Mendes's two daughters while on a promo tour for his latest film, Project Hail Mary. The film, which premiered in March, follows a teacher who joins forces with an alien named Rocky to save their respective planets.

'I made this [movie] for them essentially,' he told Access in late February. 'As a family, I'd like a movie like this that I'd like to see. I just feel really honored that I got to make one.' Gosling also revealed that he ran the film by his kids as they're the 'only critics' he cares for. 'My kids have seen multiple cuts,' he said. 'They give me multiple notes. They're basically the only critics I care about, and they are very critical and very honest.'
