Keith Richards Gets Satisfaction from Early Nights, Promises New Stones Music and Tour
Richards: Early Nights Key to Stones' Longevity, New Tour Hinted

Keith Richards, the legendary wild man of rock 'n' roll, has revealed that the secret to The Rolling Stones' enduring success into their eighties is nothing more than an early night. In a recent interview, Richards quipped, "Go to bed early, there's nothing like it!"

New Album 'Foreign Tongues' and Tour Hints

The Rolling Stones are back with a new album, Foreign Tongues, and while they have ruled out any shows for the album this year, Richards hinted at a tour in 2027. "Next year's wide open, so I mean it is, it's up for grabs really," he said. Bandmate Ronnie Wood echoed the sentiment: "Oh yeah, don't have to twist my arm, mate. I'll be out there as soon as I get my call up papers."

Keith and Mick: A 'Marriage of a Kind'

Richards described his relationship with Mick Jagger as a "marriage of a kind," adding, "Who's wifey and who's husband is another thing. But maybe that's what keeps it going." He reflected on their shared musical taste: "When you meet the guy that has the same taste in music and the same feel for it as you do it's more than double the pleasure."

Paul McCartney Collaboration

The album features a track with former Beatles rival Paul McCartney on bass. Richards praised McCartney: "I've realised that Paul really misses being in a band. His joy of just being in that context is great." Richards noted that McCartney played on "Covered in You" and adapted to a punk style. Jagger added, "On that track he sounds like a funky bass player... He just understood this style."

Future Plans: More Studio Time?

Despite speculation that Foreign Tongues could be the band's last album, Jagger said on Apple Music's Zane Lowe show, "You could think that. I think you always think that this could be the last record. I'm not saying it is." Richards is eager to return to the studio: "Oh, I have no problem with that. Anytime the whistle blows, I'm there." He added, "Always got a few songs in the bag and I'm sure Mick does."
