Gordon Ramsay's 'Perfect' Wedding Post Omits Peaty Family Amid Feud
Ramsay Ignores Peaty Family in Wedding Post After Speech Dig

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has sparked controversy after conspicuously omitting any mention of Olympian Adam Peaty's estranged family while publicly celebrating his daughter's "perfect" wedding day. The TV personality, 59, shared a gushing tribute on Instagram this Tuesday, just days after his daughter Holly, 25, married the champion swimmer, 31, at Bath Abbey on Saturday, December 27.

A Wedding Overshadowed by Family Strife

The lavish ceremony at the historic abbey was marred by a bitter family feud. Adam Peaty's mother, Caroline, was uninvited from the nuptials, with his sister Bethany being the only blood relative from his side in attendance. Against this tense backdrop, reports have emerged that Gordon Ramsay himself made a pointed remark during his father-of-the-bride speech.

Commenting on a glossy Vogue magazine photograph of the newlyweds, Ramsay's Instagram post read: 'Perfect wedding and such wonderful guests to witness your beautiful wedding congratulations to you both.' The mention of "wonderful guests" was notably made without any reference to the Peaty family, whose absence was a defining feature of the day.

The Reported Speech and the Fallout

According to multiple reports, Ramsay's wedding speech contained a sly dig at the situation. After telling Adam he was a "lucky man" and commenting on Holly's beauty, he reportedly gestured to his own wife, Tana, and said: 'Look at Tana and that's what you have to look forward to.' It is claimed he then added to Holly: 'Shame you don't have the same,' in an apparent reference to Adam's absent parents.

Adam's mother, Caroline Peaty, who was barred from the ceremony, believes the comment was a "pre-planned" and "cruel" swipe. A family source told the Daily Mail: 'By him saying Tana will be a good mum to them both makes Caroline sound like a bad mum. It was a cruel dig at her. She is a very good mum.'

Meanwhile, Adam appeared to sidestep the family turmoil in his own speech. He is thought to have praised his swim coach, Mel Marshall, for being his "everything," and for "grounding and inspiring" him, reportedly stating he saw Mel "like a mum."

Defence and Further Revelations

Holly Ramsay has since defended her father's speech. In a new interview with British Vogue, she shared a photo from the moment, captioning it: 'Listening to dad's speech, looking around the room and feeling overwhelmed with the love and the happiness on our guests' faces.'

In a move that further highlighted the rift, Holly revealed that her parents paid for the couple's honeymoon to Mauritius as a wedding present. She also shared an awkward family photo featuring herself, Adam, her parents Gordon and Tana, and David and Victoria Beckham—with no Peaty family members present.

The emotional toll on Adam's side was profound. His mother Caroline, speaking from the family home in Staffordshire, said she felt as if Holly and Adam 'have cut my heart out'. In a devastating final twist, Adam was reportedly sent a harsh text message from his uninvited aunt Louise moments before the ceremony, wishing him a happy day but reminding him of the "depth of pain" he had caused his mother.
