Princess Andre Opens Up About Dating Struggles and Family Dynamics on ITV Show
Princess Andre Discusses Dating and Family on Princess Diaries

In the highly anticipated second season premiere of her ITV reality series Princess Diaries, Princess Andre candidly discussed her personal struggles with dating and relationships. The 18-year-old star, who has grown up in the public eye as the daughter of celebrities Katie Price and Peter Andre, offered viewers an intimate look into her glamorous life and burgeoning career.

Dating Guarded Due to Mother's Experiences

During a dinner scene with close friend Heidi, the 18-year-old daughter of Kerry Katona, Princess Andre was questioned about her love life. She responded with revealing honesty about her current priorities and outlook.

'I think about my mum, she's had so many people do her wrong, it's an eye opener and so my guard is up,' Princess explained. 'I don't want another relationship yet, I want to be confident in myself first. It would have to be something very special for me to be open about it and post about it.'

This cautious perspective stems directly from observing her mother's tumultuous romantic history. Katie Price, 47, has been married four times and engaged a total of nine times, most recently to entrepreneur Lee Andrews after a whirlwind one-week romance.

Trust Issues in the Spotlight

Beyond romantic relationships, Princess also spoke about challenges with friendship since gaining more prominence through her television show. 'I don't trust anyone,' she admitted. 'Since people have known I've been filming for season two I have had a lot of people message me saying 'let's hang out' or 'we should be friends'. I don't want friends like that!'

However, she emphasized her genuine bond with Heidi, describing their relationship as sisterly due to their shared experience of growing up with famous parents.

Family Revelations and Reconciliation

The episode also touched on recent family developments, including how Princess and her 20-year-old brother Junior discovered their mother's engagement to Lee Andrews through a family WhatsApp group chat.

'The message Mum sent on the group chat about being engaged…. I literally responded 'OMG',' Princess recalled. 'Mum's very impulsive, but that is impulse on a whole other level.'

Both siblings admitted they have yet to meet their mother's new husband and described the whirlwind relationship as 'weird.' During a recent appearance on This Morning, they maintained a supportive stance despite their surprise.

Parental Truce After Years of Feuding

In a significant development, Princess and Junior confirmed that their parents have finally called a truce on their bitter 16-year feud following their 2009 divorce. The former couple, who married in 2005 after meeting on I'm A Celebrity, had been estranged for years.

'My mum and dad have made a mutual agreement, hopefully by season three, they will be getting on well...' Princess explained about the new series, noting that both parents have agreed to step back from filming but will still appear.

Junior added: 'We just want to move forward as a family, and hopefully for season three, you will see more of that.'

Sources close to the family revealed that the children were instrumental in facilitating this reconciliation. 'It was the children who made her realise she needed to draw a line in the sand. Katie has done this for them,' a source told The Sun.

This family progress comes after fans noticed Katie and Peter following each other on social media again, following a joint statement about 'moving on positively.' The new season of Princess Diaries promises to document these evolving relationships while showcasing Princess Andre's journey toward self-confidence and independence.
