The Australian actress-turned-socialite, married to Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell, once again failed to secure an invitation to the 2026 Met Gala on Monday evening.
The Reason Behind the Snub
The cause, it appears, may be more personal than professional. At the heart of the matter lies a high-profile relationship web involving Pia, Patrick, Lauren Sánchez, and Jeff Bezos. Bezos, the primary sponsor of this year's Met Gala, reportedly invested a staggering US$10 million in the event. He and Sánchez, who married in Venice last June, served as honorary co-chairs alongside Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.
A Complicated History
Before Pia entered the picture, Patrick was married to Sánchez for over a decade, sharing two children: Evan, 19, and Ella, 17. They announced their separation in early 2019 after Sánchez's affair with Bezos, who was then married to MacKenzie Scott.
