Peter Andre's I'm A Celeb Warning: Food Mistake That Sends Body Into Shock
Peter Andre's I'm A Celeb Food Warning to Stars

Reality television legend Peter Andre has issued a crucial warning to this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here contestants, revealing a common food-related mistake that could have serious physical consequences.

The Critical Food Mistake

Appearing on Good Morning Britain ahead of the new series launch, the 52-year-old star drew from his own experience competing on the ITV show back in 2004. Andre highlighted that many contestants make the error of overeating before entering the jungle, thinking it will help them cope with upcoming hunger.

"You do see that happen, especially people who do the dreaded thing that I tell them never to do," Andre explained. "They keep eating so much before you go in because they think, 'I'm not going to eat so I may as well stock up.' But then your body goes into shock. It's better to get your body used to it."

Unique Jungle Experience

The Mysterious Girl singer emphasised that the hunger experienced in the jungle is unlike anything most people encounter in their daily lives. "There's only probably 300-400 people in the world who experience this," he noted, describing it as an "incredible experience" with specific smells and sounds only jungle veterans would recognise.

Andre revealed that before his own jungle stint over two decades ago, he had never experienced true hunger. "Hunger is one of those things that I had never experienced before and for anyone who hasn't experienced it, you genuinely get it there," he shared.

Family Legacy Continues

The conversation turned to Andre's children potentially following in his footsteps. His children Junior, 20, and Princess, 18 - whom he shares with ex-wife Katie Price - have expressed interest in participating. The couple famously met and found romance during the 2004 series.

"It's in our DNA a little bit," Junior told Good Morning Britain at ITV's Palooza event, while Princess added: "We are the first born from there. Mum and dad met on the show and had us. I would love to do it - even though I'd be petrified for my life."

Princess revealed she would only consider the show if her brother participated alongside her, saying: "Personally, I would not go on it without you. I feel like that's something we've always said we'd do together."

Peter acknowledged that while he previously encouraged his children towards presenting roles rather than contestants, he believes they would excel on I'm A Celebrity. "I think on that show, they would be great contestants," he said, noting how the experience "brings a lot out of you" and creates a unique environment without modern distractions like phones.

The new series begins on Sunday, featuring a diverse cast including TV presenter Alex Scott, rapper Aitch, Emmerdale's Lisa Riley, comedian Ruby Wax and YouTuber Angry Ginge. Contestants have already been spotted undertaking their first challenges, which will air this weekend.
