Patsy Kensit's Tribute to Son Lennon with Throwback Photo

Actress Patsy Kensit has delighted fans by sharing a touching throwback photograph featuring her son Lennon, accompanied by a deeply personal tribute that celebrates their mother-son bond. The 57-year-old EastEnders star, who shares 26-year-old Lennon with former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, took to Instagram on Friday to post the nostalgic image that captures a precious family moment.

A Mother's Loving Tribute

In her heartfelt social media post, Kensit included a photograph that appears to show a younger Lennon celebrating a birthday, with the actress presenting him with a beautifully decorated cake. The image prompted an outpouring of affection from followers who appreciated this intimate glimpse into the celebrity family's life.

Alongside the photograph, Kensit wrote an emotional caption that read: 'My precious baby boy… I love you so so much and I'm so proud of you and your wonderful brother James. I'm so blessed to have you in my life and for spending time with me… I love watching 'the chase' with you Lennon and you're so bloody good at it.'

The actress concluded her message with warm wishes, stating: 'Wishing love gratitude happiness and peace of mind to everyone. I am truly grateful.' She clarified that the photograph wasn't from a recent celebration, adding: 'PS it's not Lennon's birthday today he was born in September just a pic with a cake we made together… just love this pic.'

Family Connections and Personal Decisions

Kensit is also mother to older son James, 32, from her previous marriage to Simple Minds singer Jim Kerr. The actress's Instagram tribute comes during a period of personal reflection and practical decision-making regarding mementos from her past relationships.

In a recent development, Kensit revealed she has decided to sell diamond earrings that were gifted to her by ex-husband Liam Gallagher during their relationship. The actress has set a reserve price of £10,000 for the jewellery, explaining that she wants the earrings to 'go to a good home.'

The former Emmerdale star has entrusted the earrings to television antiques expert Tom Keane for an upcoming auction at The Swan in Tetsworth, Oxfordshire, scheduled for next month. Kensit previously wore the distinctive earrings to a high-profile awards event back in 1999.

Practical Considerations and Emotional Distance

Discussing her decision to sell the jewellery, Kensit acknowledged the challenging economic climate, telling The Sun On Sunday: 'Times are tough. There are a lot of actors and actresses like me that have to tighten their belts.' She added philosophically: 'I won’t be the first woman that will have sold jewellery that her ex gave her. I hope the earrings go to a good home.'

The actress married Liam Gallagher in 1997, but their relationship ended in 2000, just months after Lennon's birth. Despite sharing a son with the famous musician, Kensit recently disclosed that she hasn't seen Gallagher for an astonishing 26 years.

Appearing on the television programme Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Kensit was asked whether she had attended any of the recent Oasis reunion shows. She responded candidly: 'No I watched the whole thing unfold and it was magical, those memories, and I haven't seen Liam for 26 years.'

Despite the personal distance from her ex-husband, Kensit expressed genuine happiness for their son's experience, saying: 'But I'm so happy for Lennon because he's gone to watch this cultural explosion. I couldn't be happier for the band and all the people rediscovering them.'

The combination of nostalgic family moments and practical decisions about the past illustrates how celebrity figures like Patsy Kensit navigate personal history while maintaining strong bonds with their children, even as relationships with former partners evolve into distant memories.
