Monday night's reunion episode of Married At First Sight delivered the drama fans expected, but it also left many viewers with lumps in their throats after a beautiful tribute to late relationship expert Mel Schilling.
As the latest batch of brides and grooms opened up about their relationships, the closing segment featured a montage of memories honouring the Australian expert, who died last month after a battle with cancer. Devastated viewers took to social media to share their emotions.

Mel Schilling was just 54 when she died, days after revealing that her cancer had spread to her brain. The psychologist-turned-dating expert was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2023, and despite having a tumour removed and being given the all-clear, it later spread to her lungs and brain.
Her husband Gareth Brisbane confirmed her passing in a heartfelt statement, saying, 'Melanie Jane Brisbane-Schilling passed away peacefully today, surrounded by love.' He described her as an 'incredible mum, role model, and soulmate' who never complained during two years of chemotherapy and never missed a day of filming.
