Natasha Kaplinsky has split from Justin Bower after more than 20 years of marriage. The newsreader, 54, tied the knot with banker Justin, also 54, in August 2005 and they went on to have Arlo, 18, and Angelica, 16 together.
Joint decision to end marriage
On Monday, Natasha, who is known for presenting across Channel 5, Sky News and ITV News and was also the very first winner of Strictly Come Dancing in 2004, and her husband announced they had called time on their long marriage and are now in the process of divorce.
The couple said: "We can confirm that we have made the joint decision to end our marriage and our focus now is on our children."
Source says Natasha is devastated
A source added to the Daily Mail: "Natasha is devastated. It’s very sad. They are doing their best to concentrate on their children." The Mirror has contacted Natasha's representatives for comment.
Just three years ago, the TV star told of how she and her husband would like to renew their vows. She said: "I'd love to. We did go to our local church on our tenth wedding anniversary with renewal in mind, but our children were screeching, so we’ve put it off for a bit."
Couple's property and wedding history
The couple currently live on a farm in Sussex and also owned a ski chalet in the French Alps, but, earlier this year, it emerged that they had put the five-bedroom property on the market for £2.7 million.
Natasha and Justin tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at St Margaret's Chapel in Somerset in front of 100 guests, just six months after they were set up on a blind date. At the time, a spokesperson said: "Both Natasha and Justin said it was the most incredible day of their lives. They are overjoyed to be married."
