Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw have been ruled out of Manchester United's Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday evening, while Benjamin Sesko is also unavailable for the trip to Spain.
The midfielder and the defender both picked up issues in the weekend's Premier League draw with Tottenham Hotspur, which ended in a stoppage-time equaliser. United are winless in their last four league matches under Michael Carrick.
Mainoo and Shaw ruled out
Mainoo has been left out of the travelling party for the match against Atletico. Shaw sustained a knock against Spurs and has also been ruled out of the trip to Spain.
Carrick said: "They've not travelled, both picked up issues in the game at the weekend so they're out." No potential return date has been given for either player.
Sesko and Dorgu updates
Benjamin Sesko is out with a shin injury. The striker was forced to pull out of the Slovenia squad during the international break and has missed the last two Premier League fixtures after sustaining the issue in the Carabao Cup tie against Brighton last month.
Carrick said: "We're still waiting for a few extra tests. We need to be on top of it. We haven't got a timeframe."
Patrick Dorgu, who sustained a thigh injury during Denmark's Nations League encounter with Wales, is expected to be out for a number of weeks. Carrick said: "Patrick came off and looks like he'll be out for probably a number of weeks." His potential return date is late November or early December.
Other absentees and returns
Noussair Mazraoui is out with a back injury, having been withdrawn during Morocco's win over Lesotho and missing the weekend's Premier League meeting with Spurs. Matthijs De Ligt, who has yet to feature for United this season due to injury, has travelled with the squad to Spain and may be nearing a comeback.
Manuel Ugarte remains sidelined with a severe knee injury sustained while representing Uruguay during the summer's World Cup. He is expected to be out until at least the end of the calendar year, with a potential return date of summer 2027. Tom Heaton is also out with a hamstring problem picked up ahead of the start of the campaign.
