In a video addressed to her followers, she admitted her recipes were not entirely original but insisted they were personal creations. 'While all of these recipes are personal to me, I cannot say that I have invented the cookies, cupcakes, brownies or cakes in the recipe book. They are all inspired from somewhere and someone before me,' Bellamy stated.

She further explained that her biggest inspiration was her mother, with whom she learned to bake, and rejected the claim of theft by pointing out that many classic recipes naturally share similarities.
