Meghan Markle's Duolingo Streak Revealed During Paris Fashion Week Visit

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, showcased her language skills during a recent trip to Paris Fashion Week, where she attended the Balenciaga show. The 44-year-old posted an Instagram reel on Sunday recapping her visit, which included a screenshot of her 100-day streak on the language learning app Duolingo, suggesting she was brushing up on her French.

Royal watchers note that Meghan already speaks three languages. She demonstrated her French fluency during a 2019 visit to Morocco with Prince Harry, where she conversed with pupils at a girls' boarding school, asking questions such as “Qu’est ce que tu veux être quand tu quittes l’école?” (What do you want to do when you leave school?) and “Vous voulez aller à l’université?” (Do you want to go to university?). Meghan also speaks Spanish, having learned it while living in Buenos Aires and studying in Madrid.

Meghan's Paris appearance was her first in Europe since 2023. A spokesman said she was there to support Pierpaolo Piccioli, the new Creative Director of Balenciaga, noting their long-standing friendship and collaboration. For the event, she wore a sleek white coordinated outfit with trousers, a button-up shirt, and a matching shawl cape, later changing into a black asymmetrical dress for the after-party.
