Former The Apprentice contestant and entrepreneur Luisa Zissman has launched a fierce defence against online body-shamers in a candid social media post, simultaneously revealing a deeply personal and malicious attack on her family.
The mother-of-three took to Instagram to share a series of stunning bikini photos from a family holiday, showcasing her toned physique. However, the post was accompanied by a powerful message addressing the negative comments she frequently receives about her weight.
'I get a lot of comments saying I'm too thin and it's really not OK,' Zissman wrote. She confronted the double standard in society, questioning why commenting on someone being thin is often deemed acceptable, whereas the reverse is rightly called out. 'It's still body shaming and it's not OK,' she asserted.
In a shocking twist, her message took a darker turn as she disclosed that the online vitriol had escalated into real-world aggression. Zissman revealed that her children's iPads had been deliberately 'smashed by an adult who knows them'—an act she described as a form of retaliation rooted in jealousy.
She expressed her heartbreak over the incident, stating, 'My kids' iPads got smashed by an adult who knows them, because they are jealous of them and us... It's so upsetting that an adult would take something from children.'
The businesswoman's post has sparked an outpouring of support from her followers and fellow celebrities, who praised her for speaking out against body shaming and condemning the act of vengeance against her children.
Zissman's stand highlights the pervasive issue of online harassment and the shocking lengths to which envy and malice can sometimes drive individuals, even affecting the innocent.
