Lizzo Debuts Slim Figure at GQ Men of the Year 2025 Event
Lizzo Shows Off Weight Loss at GQ Men of the Year

Lizzo made a stunning appearance at the prestigious GQ Men of the Year 2025 event held on Thursday at the iconic Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, California. The multi-talented artist confidently showcased her significantly slimmer figure, marking a new chapter in her public image and health journey.

A Night of High Fashion and Glamour

The 37-year-old rapper, singer, and flautist captivated onlookers in an elegant champagne-coloured midi-slip dress, expertly curated by her stylist Kristen Ritchie. Her ensemble was perfectly complemented by white kitten-heel sandals and a matching tassel clutch bag, creating a cohesive and sophisticated look.

Lizzo's beauty team worked meticulously to complete her red-carpet transformation. Hairstylist Kim Kimble fastened a sleek, raven-coloured waist-length wig, while nail artist Eri Ishizu applied a classic red manicure. Make-up artist Alexx Mayo enhanced the four-time Grammy winner's natural features with a smoky eye, dark blush, and a mauve lip colour.

The Weight Loss Journey and Ozempic Revelation

This glamorous appearance comes after Lizzo publicly announced on January 16 that she had successfully reached her weight-loss goal. Her remarkable fitness achievement includes lowering her body mass index (BMI) by 10.5 points and shedding an impressive 16% of her body fat since 2023.

The Yitty co-creator had repeatedly denied using the popular GLP-1 agonist drug Ozempic until June 19, when she candidly confessed on the Just Trish podcast that she had tried the medication in the past. This revelation provided clarity about her weight loss methods after months of public speculation.

Legal Challenges and Future Projects

Beyond her fashion and fitness news, Lizzo faces several professional challenges. On October 21, The GRC Trust filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the artist, alleging she sampled and copied elements of their song Win or Lose (We Tried) in an American Eagle Jeans parody featuring her unreleased track, I'm Goin' In Till October.

A representative for Lizzo addressed the lawsuit, telling TMZ: 'We are surprised that The GRC Trust filed this lawsuit. To be clear, the song has never been commercially released or monetized, and no decision has been made at this time regarding any future commercial release of the song.'

Additionally, the Emmy-winning producer must eventually face a jury trial at Santa Monica Courthouse concerning a sexual, religious, and racial harassment lawsuit filed by her former back-up dancers - Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez. Lizzo has vehemently denied all allegations.

Looking ahead, Lizzo is scheduled to perform on March 27 at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Her professional horizons continue to expand as she prepares to produce and star in an upcoming biopic about pioneering electric guitarist Sister Rosetta Tharpe, which will represent her most significant acting role to date.

While her fifth studio album Love in Real Life remains unreleased, her third mixtape My Face Hurts from Smiling could potentially earn a Grammy Award nomination when announcements are made on February 1.
