King Charles Jokes About Trump's Ballroom Project During State Dinner
King Charles Jokes on Trump's Ballroom Project at Dinner

President Donald Trump spoke at a White House state dinner, where he praised King Charles' speech to Congress. He offered a toast to King Charles III and to America's upcoming 250th anniversary of freedom. King Charles then humorously referenced Trump's recent demolition of the White House's East Wing for a new ballroom.

“On this occasion, I cannot help noticing the readjustments to the east wing, Mr. President, following your visit to Windsor Castle last year,” the King said.

The King also made a joke about the 1814 burning of the White House by British forces during the War of 1812.
