Anthony Kiedis Steps Out With Mystery Woman Amid Netflix Documentary Controversy
Kiedis With Mystery Woman As Band Distances From Netflix Doc

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis made a stylish appearance at Charli XCX's exclusive post-Grammys party in Hollywood on Sunday evening, sparking intrigue as he arrived hand-in-hand with a mysterious companion. The 63-year-old singer, known for his energetic stage presence, opted for a more subdued yet sophisticated look, wearing a simple T-shirt beneath a sharp black suit as he entered the star-studded event.

Mystery Companion Steals The Spotlight

All eyes were on Kiedis's unidentified female companion, who captivated onlookers with her striking ensemble. She wore a stunning pink fur-trimmed cape that flowed elegantly behind her, paired with a delicate lilac satin skirt that shimmered under the Hollywood lights. Her outfit was completed with matching heels that added to her statuesque presence. The couple appeared comfortable together as they navigated the celebrity-filled venue, though neither has commented publicly on their relationship status.

Netflix Documentary Sparks Band Controversy

This social appearance comes amid growing controversy surrounding an upcoming Netflix documentary about the Red Hot Chili Peppers' early years. Directed by Ben Feldman and titled The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the film is scheduled to premiere on March 20 and reportedly explores the band's formative period and the legacy of original guitarist Hillel Slovak, who tragically died from an accidental heroin overdose in 1988.

Despite initial cooperation from band members, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have since issued a formal statement distancing themselves from the project. The band clarified on social media that while they participated in interviews out of respect for Slovak's memory, they have no creative involvement in what is being marketed as a band documentary.

'This documentary is now being advertised as a Red Hot Chili Peppers documentary, which it is not,' the statement read. 'We had nothing to do with it creatively. We have yet to make a Red Hot Chili Peppers documentary. The central subject of this current Netflix special is Hillel Slovak and we hope it sparks interest in his work.'

Kiedis's Personal Life and Fatherhood

When not performing with his world-famous band, Kiedis dedicates himself to fatherhood. He shares his 18-year-old son, Everly Bear Kiedis, with former girlfriend and model Heather Christie. In a 2012 interview with Fuse, the singer expressed profound joy about parenthood, stating: 'I love the [daddy] club. Good God, it's a beautiful club. Who knew? You can't know until you go. It's wild.'

Kiedis has been performing with the Red Hot Chili Peppers since 1982 and maintains that fatherhood has enhanced rather than hindered his creative energy. 'I think people that have fear that, "Oh if I have a kid I won’t be able to do this and I won’t be able to do that," it’s kind of the opposite,' he explained. 'It really gives you energy. It makes people better.'

Grammy Celebrations Continue

The party Kiedis attended was part of a series of post-Grammy celebrations following the 2026 awards ceremony. Host Charli XCX was also spotted making a fashionable late-night appearance with her husband George Daniel at the Saint Laurent post-Grammys party in Los Angeles.
