Katie Price launched a scathing Father's Day attack on her ex-partner Dwight Yorke, accusing him of disowning their disabled son Harvey. The 48-year-old mother of five took to Instagram to share a rare photo of the former footballer with Harvey as a baby, writing: '@officialdwightyorke18 you should be ashamed of yourself for disowning your son @officialharveyprice.'
Harvey's Condition and Limited Contact
Harvey, who turned 24 in May 2026, has only met his father a handful of times. Katie and Dwight split before Harvey was born in May 2002. Harvey requires 24-hour care due to Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic disorder causing insatiable hunger, learning difficulties, and behavioural issues. He also has autism and Septo-optic dysplasia, which leads to blindness.
In her Instagram stories, Katie continued: 'He lights up everyone who meets him, which is a credit to me. If only you treated him the same as your other son.' She added: 'Says a lot about what a s*** dad you are... period.' Dwight has another teenage son, Orlando, 18, who has never met Harvey. Dwight has publicly expressed that watching Orlando grow up has been the 'greatest gift' of his life.
History of Rejection
Dwight demanded a DNA test during Katie's pregnancy and has never accepted Harvey's disabilities. In her 2016 memoir Reborn, Katie wrote: 'I'd explained Harvey's condition to Dwight many times, but he refused to understand it and kept going on about him being fat.' She claimed Dwight told her he did not want to see her or Harvey again and that they have not been in touch for years.
Despite this, Katie has left the door open for Dwight to have a relationship with Harvey. She said: 'I would love the day I see Dwight and Harvey in front of each other. My mum still contacts his manager every year, and asks, does he want to see Harvey for his birthday, and it's always the same – no.'
Harvey's Progress
In her documentary Harvey and Me, Katie highlighted Harvey's incredible progress: 'Six years ago, he didn't really talk - and now he talks all the time. Ten years ago he was in a wheelchair. He wouldn't even walk, didn't even talk, didn't draw how he draws, and now look at him!'
