Katie Price Returns to UK Solo Amid Husband's Dubai Travel Ban Controversy
Katie Price made a highly anticipated return to the United Kingdom on Thursday, facing her family who have expressed concerns over her new relationship. However, the reality star arrived alone, despite her husband Lee Andrews, 43, repeatedly insisting he would accompany her back to British shores.
A Solo Arrival and Family Concerns
Dressed in a white crop top and tracksuit bottoms, the 47-year-old celebrity was flanked by two staff members who assisted with her luggage before she entered her personalised Rolls-Royce. This solitary homecoming comes after Katie and Lee, her fourth husband, engaged last month and married just days later. The couple officially registered their marriage on February 17, but Lee's absence has raised eyebrows among family and followers.
Lee had publicly stated on social media that he would be returning to the UK with Katie this week and that both planned to attend Lucinda Strafford's Love Island party together on Friday. Katie had even mentioned she would be performing at the event, with Lee praising her singing skills and suggesting she deserved "an Oscar."
The Dubai Dilemma and Travel Ban Allegations
The couple have been enjoying time in Dubai, where Lee resides, but he faces persistent claims of being under a flight ban, legally prevented from leaving the United Arab Emirates. In recent days, he has continued to assert that he is set to join Katie in flying to the UK, despite frequent allegations from his ex-girlfriend Alana Percival that he is bound to the UAE.
Since their wedding, Katie has returned home alone on two separate occasions, with Lee failing to join her as promised both times. He also claimed they would embark on a honeymoon together, yet they remained in Dubai, further fueling speculation.
Social Media Scrutiny and Legal Troubles
Lee has attempted to counter the travel ban narrative by claiming he visited his Lincolnshire hometown for Christmas. However, Alana Percival has mocked his recent social media posts, including footage of him racing horses along what he describes as the Skegness coastline. Remarkably, the videos show clear skies and bright sun, contrasting sharply with the torrential rain and fierce winds battering much of England since the new year.
Reposting the clip, Percival sarcastically questioned, "People of Skegness watching this asking where exactly is this tropical upgrade?" She also criticised a second video where Andrews claims to be freezing while driving in "his mum's car," commenting, "When you put on a wooly hat in an underground car park in Dubai to pretend you're in the UK."
While Andrews presents himself as a successful business mogul, the Daily Mail has reported that he was banned from leaving Dubai after spending three weeks in a UAE jail. He allegedly forged his ex-girlfriend's signature to secure a £200,000 loan, applying for a mortgage in personal trainer Dina Taji’s name without her consent. Lee has dismissed these claims as "complete b******s" in statements to the Daily Mail.
Family Support and Future Plans
Despite the controversy, Katie and Lee maintain they are deeply in love and that he will soon travel to the UK for a larger wedding celebration with family and friends. Her five children have yet to meet the businessman, but during an appearance on This Morning this week, Princess and Junior expressed support for their mother.
Asked if they had met their mum's new husband, Princess admitted, "I've not met him." Junior quickly added, with Princess nodding in agreement, "Our mum is her own person, she's her own woman, she's going to do what she's going to do and at the end of the day, we're supportive of her as long as she's happy." Princess chimed in, "If she's happy, we're happy," emphasising the family's priority is her well-being.
