The Hardacres returns to Channel 5 tonight for its second series, continuing the story of the rags-to-riches family navigating their newfound fortune in the 19th century. The period drama, which first aired two years ago, has proven popular with audiences.
Series 2 premieres on Thursday, 14 May at 9pm on Channel 5, with six episodes airing weekly in the same slot. The final episode will broadcast on Thursday, 18 June.
The entire Hardacre clan returns, including Claire Cooper as Mary, Liam McMahon as Sam, and Julie Graham as Ma. Adam Little, Shannon Lavelle, and Zak Ford-Williams reprise their roles as the Hardacre offspring. New cast members include Michele Dotrice as Lady Imelda Hansen, Niall McNamee as Edward Blackwood, and Edward Mitchell as Arthur Lewis.
Having settled into Hardacre Hall after facing upper-class prejudice in the first series, the family now faces a new threat from Lady Imelda Hansen, who challenges everything they have achieved. The series follows their continued struggle for social acceptance while managing their wealth.
