April Rose Pengilly has lifted the lid on the extensive preparation that went into her August 2025 wedding to long-term partner Adam Paul Jones. The daughter of INXS guitarist Kirk Pengilly tied the knot in a spectacular fairytale ceremony at a French castle, and now she has detailed the rigorous fitness and beauty regime she followed to look perfect on the big day.
Skincare and Treatments
In a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday, the 38-year-old former Neighbours star shared a video montage showcasing how she maintained her skin, figure, and hair in the months leading up to the wedding. 'Honestly, I have to do pretty much all of this regularly anyway, so it wasn't too much of a stretch,' she wrote. 'I kept up my skincare - vitamin B, vitamin C, retinol, sunscreen daily and my LED mask nightly.'
April also visited Jacqueline Brennan for a series of skin treatments costing over $2,800. She explained: 'I had Collagen Remodelling RF Microneedling ($600), Vein Removal Treatment on my legs, Laser Genesis ($399), and Tightening and Lifting Hifu ($1,800).'
Fitness Regime
The actress detailed her workout routine, which included strength-training every second day and a minimum of 16,000 steps per day. However, an injury forced her to switch to a stationary bike. 'I also do four minutes of planks every day which makes the biggest difference!' she added.
April ensured her vegetarian diet was packed with protein, consuming two dairy-free protein shakes daily along with vitamins and supplements. She also underwent various therapies at Body WRL, including Red Light Therapy ($109), Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy ($59 for half an hour), Cryotherapy ($99), and EmSculpt Neo.
Hair and Beauty
Her hair routine involved conditioning treatments, oil treatments, bond repair products, and avoiding heat styling. She also had her colour done and a trim before leaving, plus Epsom salt baths and steam room sessions. For nails, she opted for acrylics with shellac in her favourite 'Bubble Bath' pink, a shade she used to wear on Neighbours.
April had her teeth whitened at FY Smile and maintained whitening at home. She also visited Amy Jean for brow lamination ($140) and lightening ($110), and did her own eyelash tint as an extra touch.
The Wedding
The TV star married Adam Paul Jones at Château de Challain-la-Potherie in the Loire Valley, one of Europe's most extravagant wedding venues, in August 2025. She wore a custom Steven Khalil gown with a fitted silhouette, sweeping train, and delicate lace detailing, complemented by a dramatic veil and understated jewellery. Adam looked dapper in a classic tuxedo as his bride entered through manicured gardens and grand stone staircases.
The star-studded guest list included family and close friends, with Kirk Pengilly proudly in attendance. Elegant floral arrangements, opulent table settings, and soft-toned décor added to the grandeur. Photos captured tender moments beneath the château's soaring arches, with celebrations lasting late into the night. April and Adam began dating in 2022 and announced their engagement in December 2023, culminating in this fairytale wedding.
