Kanye West Cancels European Leg of Saint Pablo Tour After Hospitalisation

Kanye West has reportedly cancelled the European leg of his Saint Pablo Tour, following his hospitalisation last month for an apparent breakdown. The rapper, 39, was due to perform in Paris, the UK and Germany in 2017, but sources claim his camp has informed concert promoter Live Nation that the dates will not go ahead.

According to TMZ, the cancellation is unlikely to cause significant disruption as no tickets had been sold and no dates had been officially confirmed. West was hospitalised on 21 November after a series of bizarre incidents, including a rant on stage in Sacramento and reports that he became agitated during a gym session, screaming that people were trying to kill him.

He was placed on a 5150 hold and taken to UCLA Medical Center, where he remained for nine days. During his stay, it is alleged that several dozen hospital staff members were fired for attempting to access his medical records without authorisation. UCLA Medical Center has not commented on the claims.

West was released on 30 November and has since been recovering at home. The stress of his wife Kim Kardashian's robbery in Paris in October is believed to have contributed to his breakdown. Friends and fans continue to question his stability, with John Legend recently criticising his meeting with President-elect Donald Trump before walking back his comments.
