Jeremy Clarkson Reveals Prostate Cancer Diagnosis on Show

Jeremy Clarkson has disclosed that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer during the latest episode of his show Clarkson's Farm. The 66-year-old television personality broke the heartbreaking news to his inner circle in the most recent instalment of the programme.

Emotional Revelation on the Farm

The episode captures Mr Clarkson chatting about the harvest with farm manager Charlie Ireland and farmhand Kaleb Cooper when he unexpectedly reveals his diagnosis. "I've got cancer," he informed the duo. "I've known since May," he continued. "I had a medical, you remember back in May. I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy and it is cancer and it's aggressive, but it's really early so the treatment will be, you know."

Details of the Diagnosis

Following his initial procedure, he explained to Mr Cooper that "10 per cent" of his prostate had been removed using ultrasound technology. "The prostate, 10 per cent of it's dead," he stated. "The 10 per cent where the cancer is." Mr Clarkson mentioned that while he is "fine standing up" post-surgery, sitting on a tractor causes discomfort.

Reflecting on a Challenging Year

He later looked back on the year alongside Mr Ireland, Mr Cooper, Gerald Cooper and his girlfriend, Lisa Hogan. "So we started the year and I had coronary heart disease and ended it with me with cancer," he remarked. "We can dwell as much as we like on all the bad things that have happened on the farm but I think it is better now at the end of the year to focus on things that have happened that are good."

Optimism and Hospital Bed Farewell

Clarkson mentioned he was scheduled for blood tests. He then added optimistically, "Come on cheer up, it probably did work." The former Top Gear host ends the season addressing audiences from his hospital bed. He disclosed that issues had emerged during his medical care. "So we started season five with me in a hospital bed and we are at the end of season five and I'm back in a hospital bed." He finished by delivering devastating news. "What I wanted to say was if this is all successful I'll see you for season six and if it isn't I won't. Take care everyone," he said.
