Former Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her younger sister, Darci Rose, following her funeral on Tuesday. The 19-year-old was laid to rest by her family after her tragic death last month.
A Sister's Heartfelt Tribute
The 33-year-old reality television personality honoured her 'forever friend' on social media, posting a photograph of Darci's order of service to her Instagram Story. Alongside the image, Holly wrote: 'I hope we did you proud.'
In a separate, deeply personal post, Holly expressed her grief, writing: 'My sister, my forever friend. His auntie, his greatest gift. Now our guardian angel.' She added alongside the order of service image: 'I hope we did you proud today baby girl. We all miss and love you so much.'
A Life Cut Short
Holly announced Darci's death in a statement last month, revealing her half-sister had passed away peacefully while holding her hand, surrounded by family and friends. She described the family as being 'traumatised in every sense of the word'.
Greater Manchester Police later confirmed they were called on Sunday 19 October 2025 by hospital staff concerning a 19-year-old woman who had 'fallen seriously ill after it is believed she had taken drugs'. The woman, confirmed to be Darci, died in hospital on Monday evening. Police stated that enquiries are ongoing.
Holly and Darci, who lived mostly out of the spotlight, share mother Vicki but have different fathers. In her initial tribute, Holly remembered Darci as a beautiful young woman who 'genuinely didn't even realise it' and who aspired to work in social work to help children.
A Community in Mourning
The sentiment was echoed by Holly's friend and former Geordie Shore co-star, Sophie Kaesai, who shared the same image of the order of service. She described it as 'The most amazing send off for a beautiful girl who was loved by so many.'
Sophie also praised the strength of Holly and their parents, Vicky and John, writing: 'I'm so proud of Holly and Vicky and John what they did today showed so much strength and courage. Rest in peace our angel.'
Earlier this week, Holly also marked what would have been Darci's 20th birthday, sharing a poignant message with her 4 million followers. She wrote: 'Happy 20th birthday baby girl... I hope you’re dancing up there... You had blossomed into such an incredible, beautiful young woman Darci, I’m so sorry this happened to you... We miss and love you more than you’ll ever know.'
The family has requested privacy as they continue to process their devastating loss.
