Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan has expressed her sheer happiness at being reunited with her three children, following their Christmas stay with their father, her ex-partner and footballer Scott Sinclair. The emotional reunion comes in the wake of a very public disagreement between the former couple.

New Year's Eve Cuddles After Festive Separation

Helen Flanagan took to Instagram on New Year's Eve to share intimate snaps of herself embracing her children, Matilda, 10, Delilah, seven, and four-year-old son Charlie. The actress looked overjoyed to have them back after they celebrated the Christmas period with their dad. She captioned the heartfelt post: "New Year’s Eve with my babies mummy loves you so much Matilda, Delilah and Charlie xxx."

The Feud That Preceded the Reunion

This family moment follows a period of significant tension. Just days before Christmas, Helen launched a scathing public attack on Scott Sinclair, labelling him "a piece of s**t" in a furious online rant. The outburst was reportedly triggered when Scott missed their son Charlie's school nativity play.

The footballer had instead posted pictures from a lavish weekend at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 grand prix, which featured views of the race, socialising with friends, and a sizeable yacht. Helen did not hold back, directly calling out her ex by writing: "You really are a piece of s*** @scotty_sinclair how dare you not turn up to Charlie's nativity." She followed this with a picture of her and Charlie, praising him as the 'best boy'.

A Challenging End to 2025 for Helen

While her children were away with their father, Helen faced further difficulties. In a separate social media update, she revealed she had crashed her car, describing the end of 2025 as "rubbish" and saying she felt "deflated". Dressed in pyjamas and holding a coffee, she explained the incident was her fault and had left her car's bumper hanging off, scuppering plans to travel to Scotland.

The actress has also been candid about the wider struggles of co-parenting as a single mother. She particularly highlighted the sensitivity of her eldest daughter, Matilda, noting that she often returns from her father's house "in a mood" and "really sassy". Helen believes this stems from Matilda feeling unsettled by the separation, which happened when she was seven.

Despite the conflicts, Helen remains committed to fostering a positive relationship between her children and their father. She emphasised: "Regardless of mine and her dad's relationship, I always want her to have a relationship with the Father... I always tell her that her dad loves her."
