George Clooney has revealed details of his past drug use, admitting to trying cocaine and other substances in his early 20s, before his rise to fame. The 64-year-old actor shared the revelations in a recent interview with Esquire, reflecting on his wild younger years.
Clooney, best known for his roles in Ocean's Eleven and Up in the Air, said he experimented with drugs but never considered it a major issue. He recalled making jokes about his drug use, but acknowledged the dangers, noting that cocaine was often cut with mannitol, a baby laxative.
The actor also recounted making weed brownies with friends to watch The Wizard of Oz while listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. He described the experience as leaving the group of 20 people 'f***ed' and sitting in silence for hours after the film ended, adding that it 'just not my drug'.
In related news, Clooney's wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, recently spoke about their family's privacy rules. She revealed that guests at their home must surrender their phones to a basket to protect the family's private moments, especially their children, whose photos are never shared publicly.
