Harry Redknapp Discloses Gemma Collins' Camp Mishap on I'm A Celebrity All Stars

I'm A Celebrity All Stars contestant Harry Redknapp has unveiled a humorous incident involving his co-star Gemma Collins, who suffered another on-screen tumble by falling out of a hammock in camp. The former football manager and player, aged 79, appeared on ITV's This Morning on Tuesday, joining hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard to discuss his imminent return to the popular reality show.

Redknapp's Return and Collins' Unfortunate Fall

Harry Redknapp, who triumphed in the 2018 series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, confirmed his participation in the upcoming All Stars edition, set to launch on April 6. During his interview, he teased pre-recorded scenes from the series, revealing that Gemma Collins, aged 45 and a 2014 jungle alumna, will take an unfortunate spill from a hammock in episodes yet to air.

"The worst day was when [Gemma] fell out of the hammock," Harry told Cat and Ben. "We all tried not to laugh but, it was difficult." This incident marks yet another televised tumble for Collins, who previously fell on the ice during Dancing On Ice in 2019 and off a stage at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards.

Praise and Behind-the-Scenes Insights

Despite the mishap, Redknapp heaped praise on his co-star, noting her culinary expertise. "Gemma knows everywhere to eat in any city - you mention a restaurant and she will tell you what food to go for," he said. "She ought to write a book about where to eat and where to stay... she didn't find anything in the [Jungle] though."

Reflecting on his own experience, Harry admitted initial skepticism about the show's food situation, recalling his wife Sandra's warnings. "I said, 'well there will be a caravan out the back, pop off and get a nice bacon sandwich, a cup of coffee, a chocolate biscuit, it's only a TV show, they're not going to actually starve you'," he explained. "But she was right, there was no food, and I had four days of not eating at all." Despite this, he emphasized the camaraderie among the cast, stating, "They were a good group of people."

Record-Breaking Trials and Series Details

In related news, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have teased behind-the-scenes details of the All Stars series, including a record-breaking five-hour eating trial. The spin-off, filmed in Kruger National Park, South Africa, features twelve returning celebrities, such as boxer David Haye, actor Adam Thomas, singer Sinitta, Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, and Coronation Street's Beverley Callard.

Ant and Dec, both 50, highlighted the increased intensity of this season's challenges. "The trials are physically bigger, and they are tougher than we have seen before because we have to really test them... we have made it tougher than ever," Ant said. Dec added, "There's another one where the celebrities are 140ft in the air where they go head-to-head with another celebrity. There's a 50ft game of Snakes & Ladders."

Notably, the series will conclude with a live final in the UK, allowing public voting to determine the ultimate "I'm A Celebrity legend." Dec hinted at heightened drama, saying, "It's up and down and you will witness arguments and things that we haven't seen on I'm A Celeb Australia for a little while. It's a must watch!"

Confirmed Line-Up and Anticipated Return

ITV has confirmed the series two line-up, which includes:

  • Adam Thomas (Emmerdale, 2016 contestant)
  • David Haye (boxer, 2012 contestant)
  • Sinitta (singer, 2011 contestant)
  • Scarlett Moffatt (Gogglebox star)
  • Beverley Callard (Coronation Street, 2020 contestant)
  • Mo Farah (Olympian, 2020 contestant)

  • Harry Redknapp (2018 winner)

The series, first aired in 2023 with winner Myleene Klass, is set to return in Spring 2026, following a teaser clip during Britain's Got Talent. ITVX describes it as a "brand new show set in South Africa, featuring memorable campmates from previous shows. Expect tough challenges, twists ‘n’ turns, NO public vote - and only one winner!" This contrasts with the original I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, which has aired since 2002 from Australia and includes public voting in its format.
