Rock star Liam Gallagher could be compelled by a New York court to publicly disclose exactly how much he earned from last year's massively successful Oasis reunion tour. This potential financial revelation stems from an ongoing legal dispute with Liza Ghorbani, the mother of his 12-year-old daughter.
Fresh Legal Motion Seeks Financial Transparency
According to reports, US music journalist Liza Ghorbani has filed a new motion in New York’s Supreme Court. The application seeks an Order to Show Cause, aiming to lift the lid on Gallagher's most recent finances. The hearing for this motion is scheduled for later this month.
Ghorbani's legal team is reportedly attempting to obtain a comprehensive set of the singer's personal financial documents. This includes his bank records, tax returns, and credit card statements. The goal is to establish a clear picture of his current net worth following the blockbuster tour.
Multi-Million Pound Tour at the Heart of the Dispute
The tour in question, Oasis Live '25, saw the famously feuding Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, reunite on stage. It ran from July 4 to November 23 last year and is estimated to have generated staggering revenues exceeding £350 million.
Ms Ghorbani is said to believe that uncovering the precise figures from this tour will bolster her case for increased child support. She is seeking a substantial rise in payments for the care of their daughter, Gemma, who was born in 2013. Reports indicate she is asking the court to order payments of around £500,000 per year.
A Long-Running and Acrimonious Case
The legal conflict has been fraught with tension. Liam Gallagher publicly labelled Ghorbani a 'gold digger' on social media platform X in response to the lawsuit she filed in March last year. In that suit, she demanded a drastic increase in support, reportedly to the tune of £510,000 annually.
Ghorbani has countered that the increased funds are necessary because their daughter is autistic and her needs have changed. Prior to last year, it is understood that Gallagher was paying approximately £3,000 per month. Court hearings in June revealed he had paid a total of £750,000 since 2015, when the case was initially settled.
The judge overseeing the case, Mr Jeffrey Pearlman, has been asked to consider a motion to compel both sides to answer further questions and provide more information. He has set a date for a fresh hearing later this month. While a temporary confidential settlement was suggested in a September motion, the latest filings indicate the dispute is far from resolved.
A source close to Liam Gallagher stated: 'Liam has been focused on enjoying Christmas with his family and not letting this court case get to him. He has been more than generous over the years and is standing firm with his legal team.'
