Frankie Muniz, best known for his role as the titular character in the hit sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, has left Hollywood behind for a new career as a professional racing driver. The 37-year-old now lives a very different life, focusing on motorsport and family.
Muniz rose to fame in the early 2000s, starring in over 150 episodes of the show, which drew up to 23 million viewers. He earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations and was considered one of Hollywood's most bankable teens in 2003. Despite his success, he expressed doubts about continuing acting, saying in 2003: 'I still don't know if I want to be an actor.'
After Malcolm in the Middle ended in 2006, Muniz pursued racing, competing in the Champ Car Atlantic series. He has stated that winning a race would be his 'greatest ever achievement,' ranking it third after having a wife and a son. He married Paige Price in February 2020, and the couple runs a shop in Arizona called Outrageous Olive Oils & Vinegars.
Muniz has also been open about memory loss, revealing in past interviews that he does not remember much of his time on the show due to multiple concussions. He has said: 'I don't remember a lot of it. I don't remember being on the show. I don't remember filming it.'
