Emmerdale's Lisa Riley on Her Future Amid Soap Shake-Up

Lisa Riley, known for her role as Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale, has opened up about her future on the ITV soap amid recent uncertainty surrounding the show's future following the Sky/ITV deal. The 49-year-old actress, who also gained fame on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, shared her thoughts on her career and potential projects.

Riley's Candid Comments on Her Emmerdale Future

Speaking to Heat Magazine, Riley admitted that while she believes her character is not currently leaving, nothing is guaranteed. She stated: "Whatever happens in the storm...I mean, I could be going...I'm not - I'm signed for a long time." This statement comes as fans speculate about the soap's direction after the reported £1.6 billion deal between Sky and ITV.

Mandy Dingle's Upcoming Storyline

When asked about what viewers can expect from Mandy, particularly her tense relationship with Kev Townsend (played by Chris Coghill), Riley teased: "Oh, Mandy's not happy with Kev. She's a rogue, so she can spot a fellow rogue a mile off, can't she? Watch out, Kev - the smother mother might be coming out." This hints at dramatic developments for the character.

However, Good Morning Britain journalist Richard Arnold reassured fans: "All the t's need to be crossed and the i's need to be dotted. But the important thing for you guys watching at home is it's business as normal. All your favourites - Corrie, Emmerdale, the faces you wake up to every morning on Good Morning Britain - nothing's going to change."
