The Mouth of the Tyne festival returns to Tynemouth Priory from Thursday to Sunday this week, and organisers have clarified entry rules regarding food, drink, and chairs. Ticket holders may bring their own food and moderate amounts of alcohol, but glass bottles and BBQs are strictly prohibited. Bag searches will be conducted at entry.
Camping Chairs and Other Restrictions
Camping chairs are allowed, but attendees should be mindful that views may be restricted. No dogs, except guide dogs, are permitted on site. The festival, a highlight of the North East's summer calendar, has drawn big crowds for over a decade, with past headliners including Paloma Faith, The Proclaimers, Jack Savoretti, Elbow, Gabrielle, UB40, and North Shields' Sam Fender.
This Year's Lineup
This year's event kicks off Thursday with The Ks, followed by Ministry of Sound Classical on Friday, Self Esteem on Saturday, and James on Sunday. Weather forecasts predict mid-20s temperatures on Thursday, with a slight dip over the weekend.
