Demi Moore joined a star-studded gathering in New York to honour Bruce Willis, with proceeds from the event supporting frontotemporal dementia research. The Soho Sessions benefit, described as a tribute “in celebration of our friend Bruce Willis,” featured live performances and appearances from the actor’s longtime colleagues.
Moore, who was married to Willis from 1987 to 2000, attended alongside his wife Emma Heming Willis, who used crutches. The couple’s three daughters—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah—were also present, reflecting the family’s continued closeness despite Willis’s health struggles.
The event drew Hollywood names including Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Whoopi Goldberg, Michael J. Fox, Norah Jones, and Keith Richards. Funds raised will go to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, a cause close to the Willis family since the actor’s diagnosis.
Willis retired from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, and his family later confirmed he has frontotemporal dementia, a degenerative brain disorder. He is cared for at home by Emma and their two younger daughters.
Moore has publicly praised Emma’s caregiving, saying on The Oprah Podcast: “There is no roadmap for how to deal with this… I really think she’s done a masterful job.” Emma recently released a book on caregiving and spoke about the challenges their children face as Willis misses important milestones.
