Dane Bowers Calls Katie Price's Husband Lee Andrews 'Bizarre'
Dane Bowers: Katie Price's Husband Lee Andrews Is 'Bizarre'

Dane Bowers has spoken out about his former relationship with Katie Price after her new documentary, describing her current husband Lee Andrews as 'bizarre' and 'comical'. The Another Level singer, 46, dated Price from 1998 to 2000, and she recently called him the 'love of my life' in her Sky documentary Katie Price: Nothing to Hide. However, Bowers was less complimentary about Andrews, a Dubai-based businessman who has faced accusations of using AI-generated images and has a reported travel ban preventing him from visiting the UK.

Bowers on Lee Andrews: 'Weird Stuff That's Not True'

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star on behalf of Zingo Bingo, Bowers said he knows of Andrews through mutual circles in Dubai. 'I know the circles he's in, and I know enough to know that he bizarrely talks some strange, weird stuff that's not true,' Bowers said. 'So yeah, that's all we all know. I think it's more comical. It's a bit weird.'

Andrews married Price earlier this year, but the union has been plagued by controversy. Reports claim he uses AI-generated images to fake his identity, and a travel ban has kept him from joining Price in the UK. He also cancelled a TV appearance last month at the last minute, fuelling further speculation.

Reflecting on His Relationship with Katie Price

Bowers said he holds no ill will toward Price. 'It was a long time ago. There's no reason for me to be upset, hateful. It's none of my business, it doesn't affect me what she does and what she's doing,' he explained. In the documentary, Price claimed Bowers was the 'love of her life' and questioned why he 'f***ed it up'. She also suggested he struggled with jealousy over her racy modelling shoots, leading her to wear tops to appease him.

Bowers acknowledged the challenges of their public relationship. 'There has to be trust on both sides. Even now, like, the whole public eye and that sort of thing is not really for me especially in terms of relationships. So that would always be hard for me anyway,' he said. 'The whole jealousy bit, or the other stuff, that's a different conversation, but yeah it's not particularly fun. It's not something you really should have to deal with when you're dealing with other stuff in a relationship as it is. It's a bit too much.'

Why Bowers Agreed to Appear in the Documentary

Despite Price's declarations, Bowers was not convinced he was her soulmate. 'I know she's said that every few months. I was 18. I think I was 18, 19. Yeah, it was crazy,' he said. He had remained silent about the relationship for years but decided to participate in the documentary after being approached by the production team. 'I get asked about it all the time, obviously, and I've never really been bothered to talk about it. But I knew the team doing [the doc],' Bowers said. 'My management said, “Look, these guys want to chat, do a chat” I'm like, “Okay, why not?”'

He added that his memory of the relationship was hazy. 'I didn't have masses of memories about it. Like, they had to remind me a lot. My memory's terrible. It's quite interesting on that front. And obviously, it was about being in a relationship at that time and what it was like being in the public eye doing that.' His current girlfriend was supportive of his decision to appear. 'I think she finds it all quite interesting as well. We've all got a past, and it was interesting to be reminded of some stuff.'
