Charlie Sheen's new Netflix documentary, aka Charlie Sheen, released on September 10, has unveiled startling details from the actor's life. The two-part series, marking his 60th birthday, features interviews with ex-wife Denise Richards, Sean Penn, Chris Tucker, and Jon Cryer.
Among the revelations, Sheen admitted to piloting a jet while drunk in 1995. During his honeymoon with first wife Donna Peele, he was invited into the cockpit and briefly allowed to fly the plane after the co-pilot switched off autopilot. Sheen recalled feeling 'untouchable' at the time.
The actor also disclosed extreme drug use on the set of the 1998 film Free Money. To stay awake after the director noticed him falling asleep, Sheen inserted an ice cube into his rectum. He said it kept him 'wide awake just enough to get back on the mark and finish the scene.'
Sheen suffered an 18-hour nosebleed during filming due to heavy cocaine use. He described blotting the blood and convincing director Brett Ratner to delete a shot where blood dripped onto his shirt.
Other revelations include his childhood experience with nudist parents, losing his virginity to a Vegas escort named Candy at age 15 using his father's credit card, and his eventual sobriety in 2017. Sheen has been single and celibate since then.
